They did have a gap to fill, but it wasn't as bad as RDS (a French version of ESPN)... They had a hell of a gap in they're programation...
I caught Dr. Who last night too, missed the first fifteen minutes and noticed it's not being re-run... But hey, a lot better effects this time around!
But there is the Curling Championships on all this week...
y'all know that we use curling as an excuse to get hammered and throw rocks, right?
on tv, no less.
And here I thought it was just how Canadians get their rocks off...
It involves household cleaning items, special shoes, plenty of ice and a strong right arm... yep, I can see why Canadians go for it!
the household cleaning part is why there are so many women curlers...
*ducks frying pan*
If "curling" actually involved curling irons...my two teenage daughters would be Olympic caliber athletes!
Andy, if ya don't mind me asking, how old are yer girls?
I didn't think girls did the curling iron thing anymore...
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">16 & 13. They don't use curling irons anymore? News to me. Get this, they each have a hair "straightener" tool which they use before they curl it. They also have a hair crimping tool if the mood strikes them. I swear, our bathroom counter looks like some futuristic evil mad scientist lair! Quote:
